1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Baby Pulse ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
2. Description of Service
Baby Pulse provides a digital platform for parents, co-parents, nannies, au pairs, and family helpers to track and share baby care activities including sleep, feeding, diapering, medication, and developmental milestones. The Service includes a mobile-responsive web application, optional WhatsApp reporting, and optional AI-powered daily summaries.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current information. Accounts are granted to individuals; sharing a single account across multiple people is prohibited.
4. Family Roles & Invitations
Family owners may invite co-parents and nannies to join their family group. The owner controls role assignments and member removal. Nannies have limited access: they can log activities and view assigned babies but cannot manage billing, delete data, or modify family settings. Owners are responsible for the actions of invited members within their family.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to bypass subscription enforcement or access controls
- Upload malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without our written permission
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service to store or share inappropriate content involving minors
6. Subscription & Billing
Baby Pulse offers a free trial period (currently 90 days). After the trial, continued access requires an active paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected during checkout. All payments are processed securely by Paddle (our payment processor); we do not store payment card details. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for details.
We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.
7. Data Ownership & Privacy
You retain full ownership of all baby care data, logs, photos, and content you enter into the Service. Baby Pulse claims no intellectual property rights over your data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. You may export or delete your data at any time from the Settings page.
8. Data Deletion & Account Termination
You may delete your family data and account at any time via the Settings > Data Management page. This action is permanent and irreversible. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.
9. Service Availability & Disclaimer
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Baby Pulse is not a medical device; it is a logging and communication tool. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baby Pulse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or claims based on the accuracy of logged information.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Johannesburg, South Africa.
